2009 Holiday Express Golf Classic Presented by NetJets Raises $65,000
101 golfers hit the links on Monday, July 20th to raise an estimated $65,000 for the Holiday Express scholarship program. The Scholarship Program has provided financial assistance to students who would not otherwise be able to further their education. More than $315,000 has been distributed since the scholarship program began in 2000. Golfers who attended the event at the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle were treated to lunch, golf, cocktails, and dinner to help raise money for Holiday Express.
Established by Tim McLoone in 1993, Holiday Express is a non profit organization that delivers music, food, gifts, financial support and friendship to those with the greatest need for the gift of human kindness during the holiday season and throughout the year.
Holiday Express is comprised of more than 1,000 volunteers, including 80 professional rock, jazz, folk, gospel, and pop musicians.
